As long-time natives of Washington, with an intimate knowledge of the terrain and weather, we’re experts at effectively managing the idiosyncrasies of local site development work. In addition to our mastery in dealing with the local climate, and soils and geologies, we also have years of experience with various governing jurisdictions. This allows us to cut to the chase on behalf of our clients, and speed their project along through the process - giving us a reputation as the company that knows how to get things done. Our people are Hazmat and TESC trained and certified. We take the challenge of water quality and erosion control seriously, and work in partnership with the Department of Ecology and the local jurisdictions to implement legal and cost-effective solutions. We also employ leading experts in Cement Kiln Dust and Cement Treated Base technology. This specialty alone has helped many projects achieve feasibility, and get started in spite of wet soils and seasonal constraints. In addition to on-site improvements, we are frequently asked to execute off-site work, which we handle with equal aplomb. Our project managers have experience in designing and constructing a variety of facilities including, public roadways. Working in the public right-of-way is familiar territory for us, and matters regarding public safety and public nuisances are well accounted for and addressed in how we manage crews as they go about their work. J.R. Hayes project managers are experienced and well versed in vertical construction too. While at first this may seem unimportant, this sort of project experience and insight helps ensure that underground infrastructures align with vertical facilities. It also smoothes and facilitates our work with the client’s vertical designer and construction team. This is an important advantage, as teamwork is integral to successful projects. In addition to our extreme command over construction matters, our staff can also provide tactical insight in land development - including entitlement, design, and utility extension knowledge. This valueadded skill set allows us to effectively contribute to projects early in the process. |
