J.R. Hayes & Sons enhances the gateway to the City of Milton.  This one mile project widens Milton Way, the existing two lane thoroughfare that serves as the transportation backbone of the city.  Beginning at State Route 161, the construction improvements include the undergrounding and removal of the existing overhead power, phone, and cable utilities in order to complete the new three lane roadway.  In addition to the widening, the project includes the installation of three new signalized intersections to help ease the growing traffic congestion through the busy commercial district and provide new sidewalks and landscaping for improved pedestrian access, safety and livability for the community.   After several months of utility construction, J.R. Hayes is preparing to complete the roadway toward the end of October.
